Frank Wright Award Frank Wright officiated with the North Bay Officials Organization from 1980-2014, retiring as a widely respected Referee. Frank was a true leader who impacted everyone he officiated with. His experience as a dedicated high school teacher made him an excellent mentor to officials both new and experienced. His professionalism, sense of humor, quick wit and lighthearted personality earned him instant friendships with officials and coaches equally. He was a true gentleman with overwhelming rules knowledge, a feel for the game and a calming presence on the field. For his sense of knowledge, mentorship, professionalism and attitude the NBOO proudly names our top award in his honor for the official who most personifies Frank’s spirit.
